Man to appear in court charged with sexual communication with a child

It comes after a man was arrested in Strabane on Saturday, October 11

A Co Tyrone man is due to appear in court after being charged with attempted sexual communication with a child.

The 47-year-old man is due to appear at Enniskillen Magistrates' Court on Monday, October 13, after being charged with two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child, and arranging or facilitating the commission of sex offence against a child.

It comes after a man was arrested following a paedophile hunter operation in Strabane on October 11.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A 47-year-old man arrested in the Strabane area on Saturday 11th October on suspicion of attempted sexual communication with a child has been charged to court.

"He has been charged with two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child, and arranging or facilitating the commission of sex offence against a child.

"He is expected to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 13th October.

"As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
