Comedian Jason Manford's Ulster Hall show cancelled after Storm Amy flight drama
The Waterloo Road actor had posted about a 'Final Destination' moment as a passenger demanded to be left off the aircraft
Comedian Jason Manford's gig at the Ulster Hall this evening has been cancelled after the aircraft he was flying on was diverted to Manchester due to being unable to land at Belfast City Airport.
The Waterloo Road star had taken to social media earlier today where he described a "Final Destination" moment as a passenger demanded to be left off the aircraft before it took off from London City Airport.
Posting on Facebook, Jason Manford said: "On a very delayed flight to Belfast and just after the safety demo, a woman has told the crew she wants to get off! We’re literally about to taxi and take off, and she just doesn’t fancy it!
"I’ve seen too much Final Destination to not take this seriously!"
In a statement posted on his social media shortly before the show was about to begin, a spokesperson for Mr Manford said: "Due to extreme weather conditions caused by Storm Amy, the British Airways plane that Jason Manford was flying on this afternoon could not land in Belfast and was rerouted to Manchester.
"This unfortunately means that Jason's show tonight has been cancelled.
"Please hold onto your tickets and you will be contacted next week with the date for the rescheduled show.
"On behalf of Jason, we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
