What time and TV channel is Lions v Australia second test on Saturday morning?

90,000 are expected to attend the crucial second test and the hosts need a huge response to last week's defeat

Former Ireland boss Joe Schmidt is going to have to come up with something special to keep this series alive in what is now the pivotal encounter on this British and Irish Lions tour of Australia.

The Wallabies were clearly second best in the first Test last Saturday even though the margin was only eight in the end..

The Lions could have and should have won by more than 27-19 in Brisbane but the wily Schmidt will take encouragement from the way his side battled back in the second half when all looked lost and there's no better coach to focus in on the weaknesses shown by the tourists.

Andy Farrell has looked to counter that by making changes - some of them were forced upon him due to injury - and he will demand a more consistent performance across the 80 minutes.

Where is the game taking place?

The iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground will host the Test, with 90,000 spectators expected to attend.

What time is kick-off?

The game will kick off at 11am UK and Ireland time on Saturday,

How can I watch it?

Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports' dedicated Lions channel will begin the build-up from 9.30am.

What are the betting odds?

Australia to win 7/2, draw 22/1, Lions to win 1/5

Team news

There are nine Ireland stars in the starting line-up and it would have been 10 only for Garry Ringrose self-reporting concussive symptoms after training on Thursday as Farrell has gone with eight changes to his matchday 23 to freshen things up.

Bundee Aki's promotion from the bench was going to make it an all-Irish centre partnership but instead he will combine with Scotland's Huw Jones with Sione Tuipulotu unavailable after suffering a tight hamstring.

Hugo Keenan has held onto the No.15 jersey, with Blair Kinghorn added to the bench, and James Lowe also retains his place in the back three along with Tommy Freeman.

The half-back pairing also remains the same with Jamison Gibson-Park alongside Finn Russell, but Owen Farrell has been added as cover on the bench.

In the forwards, Farrell has gone for an all-Irish front row with Andrew Porter promoted to the loosehead position ahead of Ellis Genge, and he links up with Dan Sheehan and Tadhg Furlong.

There is a change in the second row as Joe McCarthy's foot injury ruled him out and Ollie Chessum replaces him alongside skipper Maro Itoje in the engine room.

Last week's man of the match Tadhg Beirne joins Tom Curry and Jack Conan in an unchanged back row, with the in-form Jac Morgan in reserve this week. With Mack Hansen still ruled out, there are also two Ireland players on the bench - Ronán Kelleher and James Ryan.

Wallabies boss Schmidt, meanwhile, will be hoping for a big reaction from his pack to the inclusion of La Rochelle juggernaut Will Skelton, plus Rob Valetini and Dave Porecki, after injury ruled them out of the first Test.
