Westlife's richest member Kian Egan has astonishing net worth and seaside mansion

As one of Ireland's most successful bands, Westlife have sold millions of records and partnered with hugely popular brands

Westlife is one of Ireland's most successful bands, with the group still touring to this day.

With four members, Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily, were formed in 1998 and since then, they have released 12 studio albums, sold over 55 million records worldwide and even had their own perfume and chocolate bar.

However, Nicky has admitted that none of them are "absolutely minted" and they have been "foolish with money", RSVP LIVE reports.

"We have all lost money. We were all very foolish with money in the early days, we all bought cars and watches – the silly things," he previously told the Irish Independent.

"I don't think any of us were lucky. We did very well out of Westlife but everybody lives and spends. In the early days we earned great money, and in the latter days it was all gone."

Out of all the members, Kian Egan is estimated to be the wealthiest member of the band, with Celebrity Net Worth estimating that he's worth around $20 million.

Outside of Westlife, he has enjoyed incredible success - from winning the 13th series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2013 to working as a judge and coach on The Voice of Ireland.

He is also married to Hollyoaks star Jodi Albert, with the couple celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary this year. They share three sons together - Koa, Zeke and Cobi. The family all live in a stunning seaside mansion in Strandhill, Co Sligo.

Speaking about his decision to settle in Strandhill, Kian said it was a no-brainer: "I suppose as the years went on and we got married and started having children and talked about the idea of where they would grow up and what type of lifestyle we wanted them to have, it just felt like no matter where we went in the world, Strandhill was the place for us".

Their home has a breathtaking view of the sea, with a large patio and garden, stocked bar, floor to ceiling windows and an impressive walk-in wardrobe.

Other members of Westlife have been open about their troubles with money.

Shane previously filed for bankruptcy in 2012 after a property development he was involved in went south during the recession.

He and his wife Gillian went on to se;; their Sligo home to pay off debts, and they relocated to England before eventually returning home in 2014.

Shane previously told the RTE Guide: "I learned so much about how important family is. It was scary because your band is over and you have kids and you're thinking 'What's going to happen here?'"

The singer said: "But Gillian was unbelievably strong. What happened also made me find an inner confidence to start again and go for it.

He added: "So when I went solo, I knew that it just had to work, there was no other option. I feel a better and stronger person after it all and also a much more positive person."
