The trailer has been released for a new action thriller starring NI actor Liam Neeson.

The Ballymena man is set to appear in Ice Road: Vengeance, the sequel to The Ice Road (2021), portraying main character, big rig driver Mike McCann.

‌

IMDd said in its description for the new film: "Mike goes to Nepal to sprinkle his brother's ashes on Mount Everest. When Mike and his mountain guide come upon mercenaries while traveling on a tour bus, they are forced to fight to save themselves, the passengers, and the country."

Ice Road: Vengeance is directed by Jonathan Hensleigh, with Fan Bingbing and Marcus Thomas starring alongside Neeson.

It's reported the new action thriller is due to be released in US theatres on June 27, and on-demand services on July 1.
