SSE Airtricity is a price controlled regulated supplier of natural gas to over 200,000 home and small business customers in Northern Ireland. This price change is as a result of adjustments between the forecasted and actual costs of delivering regulated gas to customers in Northern Ireland.

The announcement follows a regulated tariff review by the Utility Regulator Northern Ireland. The company also consulted with the Department for the Economy (DofE) and the Consumer Council of Northern Ireland (CCNI) as part of the review.

Stephen Gallagher, Managing Director SSE Airtricity said: “I’m pleased to be sharing this news with our customers today. We know energy costs remain a primary concern for customers across Northern Ireland, so this price reduction will hopefully provide some welcome relief for many gas customers.

“As always, we would encourage anyone who is experiencing difficulty with their energy bills to contact us and we will work with them to find a solution together.”
