Silent Hill f is a survival horror game set in the 1960s where players take on the role of high school student Hinako Shimizu. But is Silent Hill f worth the investment? According to Metacritic, the game has scored an impressive 85 out of 100, with generally favourable reviews.
Destructoid reviewed the game and said: "Psychological action horror at its finest. A new kind of Silent Hill that holds onto its roots and never falters. Experimental like SH4: The Room, f stands out by giving us something vastly different while sticking to and modernising the fundamentals. Silent Hill f gets in your face, making it impossible to look away from Hinako's story."
GameSpot reviewed the game and said: "Silent Hill f is not just a return to form, it's a remarkable evolution; it's a visual spectacle, a mastercraft in psychological horror, a work of narrative brilliance, and a new benchmark for the Silent Hill series."
GameSpot did note their problems, however, and added: "That said, it's not perfect. At times, I felt enemies were not quite as responsive to my attacks as I wished and lacked proper feedback. Other times, I found myself a bit frustrated by how the game's tight corridors, quickly depleting stamina bar and imperfect controls created situations where I was unable to do anything as an enemy continuously wailed on me."
There are also other great games to jump on which has just been released. There's Ghost of Yotei that can be grabbed from Amazon for a similar price - or £59.99 for those who don't want to use TopCashback. There's also Borderlands 4 from Currys for £62.99 that can also be used with TopCashback to knock £15 off the price.
