We cannot wait until it opens!

Fairhill Shopping Centre in Ballymena has confirmed that they have handed over their new 26,100-square-foot space in the centre to Primark ahead of its opening later this year.

The relocation of Primark from the neighboruing Tower Centre to the newly built unit at Fairhill comes as part of a multi-million pound redevelopment project currenly underway at the shopping centre.

Mr Walker said that while an offical opening date is yet to be confirmed by Primark, he predicts that it will open its doors in the Fairhill in early December.

He said: "This is the first new format store in Northern Ireland - I don't know entirely what that entails but it is a new shop fit with new feel and a new layout of a store so it's exciting that is happening in Ballymena."

When asked about a timeframe for opening, he replied: "We handed the unit over to Primark in July which culminated a 12-month build project from when we started to build the unit so it's now in their hands.

"We have no control or steer as to when they will open but I imagine they will want to be open in time for the Christmas trade. So I would probably say December."
