A Belfast actor who was seen by millions of people during the Super Bowl is set to make his West End debut. Rising local talent Mehran James McCullough is making waves in the acting industry as he is set to star in the world premiere of A Knight’s Tale The Musical.
The production is set to bring new life to the iconic medieval story, blending comedy, adventure, and high-energy theatre with Mehran set to feature in the ensemble while understudying the role of William, originally portrayed by Heath Ledger in the 2001 film.

Over the weekend, Mehran starred in a Coffeemate Cold Foam commercial that premiered during one of the world’s largest sporting events.
The 25-year-old, who was initially cast as the lead in the advertisement, was shocked and delighted to find that it would be voiced by country pop star Shania Twain.
Known for launching careers and captivating global audiences, the Super Bowl ad spot is a significant milestone for any actor.
Mehran said: "It’s been quite a week!
"It’s rare that graduate actors get to feature in a commercial and announce a world stage premiere in the same week, so as one can imagine, I’m a combination of overwhelmed and grateful!"
A recent graduate of ArtsEd London in 2023, Mehran has already established himself as a versatile performer, seamlessly transitioning from screen to stage.
His training at ArtsEd, one of the UK’s leading performing arts institutions, has equipped him with the skills and presence that are quickly making him one to watch in the industry.
Audiences can expect to see Mehran light up the stage in A Knight’s Tale when it opens on April 11th at Manchester Opera House, ahead of a rumoured West End run.
