
Police closed a section of a Newtownabbey road this morning as the emergency services attend a single-vehicle collision.
Police closed a section of O'Neills Road on Monday, September 15, from the junction of Elmfield Road to Prince Charles Way following the collision. One person has been taken to hospital.
Motorists were being advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes for their journeys.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "The O’Neills Road in Newtownabbey is closed at the junction of the Elmfield Road to Prince Charles Way following a one vehicle road traffic collision this morning, Monday 15 th September. Motorists should avoid the area and seek alternative main routes."

One person taken to hospital
One person has been taken to hospital following the collision on O'Neill Road this morning.
A NIAS spokesperson said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 04:48 on Monday 15th September, following reports of an RTC in the O’Neill Road Area, Belfast.
"NIAS tasked 1 Emergency Ambulance to the scene.
"One person was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by Ambulance."
