Police closed a section of a Newtownabbey road due to an anti-immigration protest this evening.

A section of Cloughfern roundabout was closed at the junction with Doagh Road after more than a dozen people took part in a protest on Monday, September 1.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Cloughfern Roundabout in Newtownabbey is currently closed near the junction with Doagh Road due to an ongoing protest. Please take an alternate route for your journey. "
