Derry TikTok star Jenny Baird enters the new Big Brother house

"I think I’m most likely to be nominated for being too honest"

Big Brother is back and another Derry girl is determined to make it all the way. On Sunday night, AJ Odudu and Will Best welcomed an eclectic mix of strangers from across the UK who will all become Housemates living under one roof.

The nation’s most renowned residence, the Big Brother House, will yet again play host to all the mischief and mayhem and make-up artist Jenny Baird will be hoping to follow in series 15 runner-up Ashleigh Coyle's footsteps.

At 20 years old, she is one of the youngest housemates to enter this year but has said she is will "bring the craic" and treat herself to some holidays if she wins.

Here is what Jenny said ahead of her entrance into the Big Brother House last night:

Why did you apply to be on this new series of Big Brother?

I've been watching Big Brother for years, and I think it's just a once in a lifetime opportunity. I had the opportunity to apply, and I just thought, ‘this could be a lot of fun’. And here I am!

What do you think you’ll bring to the House?

I think I will bring a lot of craic to the house. I think I will try my best to make everybody laugh and just be positive.

What are you looking forward to the most about being a Housemate?

Just being in there. I think I’ll be like, ‘oh my God, I'm actually in the Big Brother house’.

Do you have a strategy for making it to the final?

I do have a strategy to make it to the final. My strategy is to just be myself. There's nothing you can do, if the public wants you to win, you’ll win if you’re being yourself.

What are you most likely to get nominated for?

I think I’m most likely to be nominated for being too honest. Because if you ask for my opinion, you're going to get it.

Tell us one thing about yourself you think will surprise people the most.

One thing about me that would surprise people most is that I can rap. Surprising, eh?

What would you do with the money if you won?

If I won Big Brother, I would go on as many holidays as I can.
