I bought a £10 B&M item that means I haven't had the heating on yet
My recent purchase was inspired by Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis's advice
The weather has certainly become colder over the past few weeks as we approach the winter months.
However, with the cost of living proving difficult for many to manage at present, people are understandably seeking ways to stay warm without resorting to central heating.
There are now more products than ever designed to help you do just that, and it doesn't always mean having to spend a lot.
My recent purchase was inspired by Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis's advice to 'heat the human, not the home', and it does an excellent job at maintaining my body temperature.
Essentially, it's a Heated Waist Wrap that warms your core. The adjustable design allows you to customise the fit and heat distribution to your specific needs, with a Velcro fastening ensuring a snug fit.
Priced at just £10 from BandM, it's powered by a USB lead, which can be used with a nearby plug or connected to a power bank stored in the front pocket, which is also handy for keeping your hands warm.
I've been wearing it while working from home and haven't needed to turn on the central heating yet. It's also beneficial for alleviating back pain and menstrual cramps as the heat soothes these too.
It features three heat settings, allowing you to switch between low, medium and high, with the colour of the light on the power button indicating which setting you're using.
BandM's Heated Waist Wrap is now available in stores.
