Belfast's first-ever LEGO store opening date confirmed with special guest in attendance

It's due to open this month in Victoria Square

LEGO fans are in for a treat this summer as the first store in Northern Ireland is set to open in Belfast later this month.

The LEGO Group’s new store will open right in the heart of Belfast’s Victoria Square Shopping Centre on Thursday, August 28.

The store will officially open to the public at 9am on the day with a ribbon cutting event by Shweta Munshi, Vice President of Marketing LEGO Retail at the LEGO Group, and Dáithí Mac Gabhann, the young Belfast organ donation campaigner, known for inspiring a change in organ donor laws.

LEGO's Northern Irish debut this summer will see the firm take up a 1,700 sq ft space on the upper ground level of the shopping centre. The store is set to feature a variety of immersive experiences, such as the LEGO Pick a Brick Wall: a great way for customers to select particular pieces that they require for their builds or Hands-on Play Opportunities: featuring fun building challenges for customers to take part in and building their own LEGO Minifigure at the Build a Minifigure Tower.

Shweta Munshi, Vice President Marketing, LEGO Retail at the LEGO Group said recently: “We are delighted to expand the LEGO Retail store portfolio by opening the first LEGO store in Northern Ireland. After a thorough search, we have found the perfect site in Victoria Square, Belfast.
